My Why

Hi, my name is John I’m the owner

of Diamond Plate Epoxy Flooring

& More.  I have been a very driven professional employee for most of my life.  That brings me back to the beginning when I was a young preteen. I started a lawn cutting service through the suggestion of my dad.  Now several years later I have come to the point where I want the work I do to truly mean something special for the customer.  I recently had a discussion with a business owner of a power washing company located in Maui.  During our conversation epoxy flooring came up as an idea for me to pursue.  While I thought about it for a while I discovered the service I would provide would not be out of the customer’s need but their desire to add value and beauty to their personal space.  I became excited about how the workmanship provided would have a beneficial and lasting impression my customer would enjoy year after year.  When I shared my thoughts with my mom and dad they encouraged me to pursue my company with passion and purpose.

My Story

I began to explore how Diamond Plate Epoxy Flooring & More would set out a concrete mission statement.  I have learned life is wonderful and offers each person opportunities to enjoy each day.  As I continue to learn about myself and the simple pleasures of my surroundings i.e., nature, complex city building I brought back to the thought of what do I want out of life.  Sadguru says, “take care of this piece of life.”

For me that means I should work for myself and serve others.  My workmanship will be one manner to extend myself to serve others and bring them happiness.

I have teamed up with a supplier and received their certification to use their product.  My customers can be assured of a warranty which is dependent upon the condition of the work surface.  Testing the concrete is a part of my service and a demonstration of commitment to the customer of my thoroughness to do the job correctly.  I have discovered that individuals who practice doing the “small” things find the “big” things are not so big and the final result turns out exceptional.   I’m committed to listening to your vision and helping you bring it into a physical existence to compliment your space.

In the spirit of using the book knowledge of Acres of Diamonds by Russell Conwell the & More in the business name is referring to the additions services offered in commercial kitchen installations.

I worked for The Boelter Companies for 6 years and 9 months in their contract division.  My position was responsible for being a member of the Culver's restaurant kitchen equipment installer team.  The work consisted of unloading two full 53’ semi trailers full of the restaurant equipment.  After unloading we set in place the equipment, assembled the walk-in cooler / freezer, set counters, cut out holes for electrical and plumbing fixtures connections and set up the dining room.

The job required the following areas to be completed within 4 days.

Stainless steel wall paneling                                Assembly walk-in cooler/ freezer

Set sinks (level, clip to wall, and screw to floor)      Set serving counters

Build dining room tables                                    Set booths and banquettes

Stainless steel corner guards                              Stainless steel trim in kitchen

Build shelving                                                  Attach shelves to walls

I have installed over 200 and traveled to various states to install Culver's restaurants.
